Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I make Lego Designs?
I use a software called Bricklink Studio 2.0, which I design, render and make instructions in.
Can I get a Blender or Studio file of a Lego design?
Of course! You may ask for the Bricklink Studio file of any custom build. You may also have your model as a Blender file. Personally I am not familiar with how blender works, so you may have to figure a lot of things out for yourself. If you'd like specifc renders with different poses/angles/aspect ratios feel free to DM me, it is included with your purchase!
If you are ordering a premade set unfortunately I do not offer Studio or Blender files.
Can I request a custom Lego build that isn't a Minecraft skin?
I'm open to any ideas, however I cannot guarantee I will do it. Depending on what it is, how many commissions I'm working on at the time, and how interested I am in your request, I may or may not accept it. Costs for custom sets can be negotiated.
How do I order parts for my Lego set?
If you order a set with instructions and a parts list, you can buy the Lego pieces and build the set IRL! You will have downloaded a .txt file as part of your purchase, or I will have sent one over Discord once your design is complete. To order parts go over to https://bricklink.com and make an account and follow the steps below.
- Click on the 'Want' tab at the top right of the screen
- Click on 'Upload' in the navigation bar
- Change the upload mode to 'Upload Bricklink XML Format'
- Click the 'Default Wanted List' drop down menu and create a new wanted list. Make the name something you'll remember (e.g 'Dr Cube Lego Skin')
- Copy and paste the text from the provided .txt file into the provided space. DO NOT CHANGE THE TEXT IN ANY WAY
- Click 'Proceed to verify items'
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Add to Wanted List'. The parts listed should all be correct and sold by BrickLink.
- Click on 'View Wanted List' (may show up as whatever you named your wanted list)
- Click on 'Buy All'
- Change the store location to 'Anywhere'. You could also change the store locations to be exclusively from your country to reduce shipping costs, however you may find that it could make the total price more expensive. I'd suggest trying both to see what's cheaper.
- Click 'Auto Select'
- Make sure 'Select stores when item price is lower than store Minimum Buy' is unchecked. Having it checked may result in having to order extra parts to meet a 'minimum buy' amount.
- Click 'Start'
- Click 'Create carts' and follow the prompts to the checkout. There you should be able to finalise the order shipping etc.
